Little Edie: I think my life is absolutely pathetic. I happen to be one of those sincere Southerners who really loved America. I think its a sad thing what’s happened to me.
Big Edie: If you didn’t have any ice cream I’d say it was really honest. But with all that ice cream I can’t believe a word of it.
Little Edie: I’m not gonna drown my sorrows in ice cream. I think it’s a pathetic and terrible thing.
Big Edie: Well try whiskey next time, see how it goes.
